Building a Color Program That Sells Through

One proven frame, seven running colors: the capsule strategy that lets brands test demand without paying for new tooling every season.

Why one frame, many colors

A new silhouette is expensive — patterns, samples, hardware. A new color on an existing frame is not. Brands that separate 'frame development' from 'color programming' refresh their line every season at a fraction of the cost.

Choosing the seven

A workable color card balances three roles: two safe neutrals that carry most volume, two or three seasonal statements that create excitement, and one or two signature shades the brand can become known for. Every color must earn its place in the mix.

Consistency is the hard part

The same color across different material lots drifts. Professional programs control this with approved leather swatches per colorway and hardware finishes checked against the same standard — which is exactly how we manage running colors on our own frames.

Customers do not buy 'a bag in seven colors'. They buy the one color that looks like them — which is why the seven had to be right.

Bring us your Pantone references and we will map them to stocked and custom leather options, with swatch cards before anything is cut.

Colorways and minimums

A capsule program keeps minimums workable: stock runs from 50 pieces, and each new colour starts at 200 pieces. One frame with a controlled colour card is usually a cheaper, faster and safer test than two new frames with one colour each.

What we need from you

Pantone references, the frame you have in mind — or a reference bag — and your target quantity. We map them to stocked and custom material options and come back with a costed quote within 2–3 working days.

Branding the program

Logo embossing, printing and woven labels, with hang tags, dust bags and retail-ready packaging specified per colorway — so the whole program lands retail-ready, not just the hero colour.
